Trailer mounted Sodar System Developed for RES Ltd Glasgow
We were asked by RES Ltd Glasgow to develop a system were the trailer
mounted equipment
could operate in most environments to monitor the
weather conditions
in a stand alone situation. Battery powered for the
majority of the
operation, but automatic generator backup on battery
failure.Data logger
information directed back to the operator via Mobile
link ie.. low fuel.
generator service time. non start or battery in low
state of charge.
This has been
operating with success for 2 years now.
Different variations of
this concept have been developed and we can now
produce a system that can
run stand alone for 3 months before service or
fuel are needed.

This Mercedes Sprinter and a Peugeot Boxer were designed and built for
Leeds University. We were
asked to produce a vehicle in conjunction with
EMS Ltd that could
operate in a Mains stand alone situation through an
inverter system that
could operate for 8 hours with an 1800W mains load
These vehicles have been
operating now for the past 3 years with no
problems.
